I Want To Be A Candle
I want to be a candle,
wick burning bright.
I want to be that flame,
give off my own warm light.
I want to dance
like the candle's fireshow,
swaying, moving, bending,
never giving up its glow.
I want to brighten the space I'm in,
sweeten the air around,
draw to me those I love
without uttering a sound.
I want to be a candle,
burn for as long as I can,
melting the wax by warmth from within,
proof that it's here that I've been.
